Equipment Control
Small to Midsized Facility
Large Facility Control

Small to midsized facilities can be controlled by multiple Kontar™ series MC8 Kontrollers™ connected in an RS-485 based Master/Slave configuration (up to 32 Kontrollers).

The Master Kontroller may be equipped with an interface card to communicate with a PDA device, notebook computer or desktop PC running the Kontar™ Konsole™ application. This program provides complete access to all the variables and parameters of the Kontrollers on the RS485 LAN.

Alternatively, the Kontroller can be connected to the Ethernet through the WebLinker™ interface card. This allows the Kontroller to be accessible from anywhere on the Local Area Network (LAN) through the Kontar™ Konsole™ application. If LAN is connected to the Internet, the Kontroller is accessible from anywhere in the world through Arecont's Global Hub and the Kontar™ SCADA™ interface.

If a wired Internet connection is not available, a GPRS or CDMA modem with the CMDA/GPRS Access card may be used to connect to the Internet.

An MC8 Kontar™ Kontroller™ can be used for local control of a single machine - air conditioner, boiler, furnace, industrial equipment, etc. The Kontroller may be equipped with an interface card to communicate with a PDA device, notebook computer or desktop with the Kontar™ Konsole™ application installed. This program provides complete access to all the variables and parameters of the Kontroller.

If LAN is connected to the Internet, the Kontroller is accessible from anywhere in the world through Arecont's Global Hub and the Kontar™ SCADA™ interface.

If a machine requires more I/Os than a single Kontroller can handle, up to 32 Kontrollers may be linked in a Master/Slave configuration.

If a wired Internet connection is not available, a GPRS or CDMA modem with the CMDA/GPRS Access card may be used to connect to the Internet.

Controlling a large facility may require more than 32 Kontar™ Kontrollers™. In this case it is necessary to use a multi-master control system. All master Kontrollers are connected to a dedicated or general facility Ethernet based LAN, and configured so that the Arecont Global Hub™ will view the Kontrollers as a single integrated system.

Any Master Kontroller may be equipped with an interface card to communicate with a PDA device, notebook computer or desktop PC running the Kontar™ Konsole™ application. This program provides complete access to all the variables and parameters of the Kontrollers on the RS485 LAN.
