KONTAR™ SCADA |
Kontar™ SCADA™ is a
web-based application or Human Machine Interface (HMI) that enables the user to
take full advantage of the capabilities of the
Kontar™ Kontrollers™
SCADA allows the user to remotely monitor and manage the control system in
real-time or using historical data.
Powerful graphical tools within this HMI provide a simple,
user-friendly way of programming and editing sophisticated control algorithms by
building breathtaking graphical user interfaces in minutes.
Kontar™ graphical components library includes images for variety of
applications such as climate control, lighting, restaurant equipment, air
conditioning, and other types of equipment,
as well as control and monitoring components like sliders, switches, dials,
indicator lights and graphs.Laying out your design is a simple drag-and-drop task, using the system once designed is
so intuitive virtually no instruction is necessary for the end-user.
The object-oriented design allows intuitive navigation to any point you desire in the system. For example, one can start their navigation by viewing an entire building to look for a parameter that is out of range, then click on a specific floor to select a detailed view of a room or a piece of equipment to analyze the problem.
Kontar™ graphical components library includes drag-and-drop images for a variety of applications such as climate control, lighting, restaurant cooking and air conditioning equipment, and other objects, as well as such components as sliders, dials and graphs. An operator may use these components to change set points and view and monitor data.
Object-oriented design of any operation allows intuitive navigation to any desired point in the system. For example, one can start navigating through a building looking for a parameter out of range, then go to a specific floor and select a detailed view of a room or a piece of equipment to analyze the problem.
If an alarm is generated in a control system, the proper information is automatically sent to the Arecont Global Hub. The database registers the information with a time stamp and sends it to the specified client via e-mail, or SMS cellular or pager text messaging as soon as this information is processed by the Hub. User can access all alarm records via the SCADA interface. This interface also allows administration of notification rules as well as acknowledgment of active alarms. Any acknowledgement to the alarm is sent back to the Hub and registered in the database with time stamp and personal ID.
Any parameter and its corresponding values can be logged for reporting purposes. Simply select the date range and format of the report and it will automatically be generated in seconds with a graph showing the trend during that term. These reports may be printed directly from the screen or sent to a spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel™) with the click of a button. Additionally, any active screen on the SCADA interface may be printed by simply clicking on the printer icon.
Schedules may be easily created to control the operation of events. Simply select the parameter you wish to control, drag the pencil tool across the desired range and the schedule is created. Exemptions may be set for holidays or unusual scheduling patterns. Or for consistent scheduling, daily operations can all be set at the same time. Schedule changes can be restricted to only high-level users to ensure their security, and overrides may be programmed and tracked by location.
Arecont SCADA™ can be run from virtually any computer that supports Macromedia Flash™ making SCADA one of the most flexible user interfaces available. It supports most major browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer™, Netscape Navigator™, etc.) and multiple platforms including MS Windows™, Mac™, Linux™, and more.

Trends can be easily tracked to help troubleshoot issues or diagnose problems remotely. Simply select the parameters you wish to view, set the time span and refresh rate, and the system immediately starts graphing the output. This is particularly valuable when comparing multiple parameters on a single screen. Reports of output parameters can also be generated and exported to a spreadsheet. See the REPORTS tab above for more information on this feature.
