MC8 is a versatile, universal, and fully programmable control module. Overall, it has 22 Inputs/Outputs and may be equipped with a variety of communication modules:

Ethernet module for connecting to LAN or/and WAN;

RS232 Module for connecting a local computing device or a local display;

GPRS/CDMA module for connecting a wireless cell phone modem;

MC8 can be configured as a stand-alone controller, or as one of many controllers (up to 32) that are assembled into a local RS-485 based network or a complex hierarchical system (See Kontar™ System Architecture).

MC8 is able to collect data from various sources (temperature, pressure, level sensors, electricity meters, etc.) with high precision, process this information and generate analog and digital outputs to process equipment.

This module may be used for connection to Internet in those cases when wired connection is impossible or impractical. The module may be installed on an MC8 controller (configured as a Master). It uses RS 232 interface with PPP protocol.
